Dr. Arjun Dhayalan

Dr. Arjun Dhayalan, M.D. is an orthopedic surgeon at New Hampshire Orthopedic Center specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. He brings a straightforward, patient-first approach to everything from everyday hand and wrist conditions to complex trauma and revision cases.

Dr. Dhayalan’s path to orthopedics began in New York, where he completed a competitive combined BS-MD program at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education and City College. He went on to earn his medical degree at Albany Medical College before heading to the University of Massachusetts, where he completed his orthopedic surgery residency, where he earned the John Monahan Award for Best Chief Resident.

He then pursued fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Beth Israel-Lahey Health in Burlington, MA, rounding out his clinical training with focused, subspecialty-level experience in the conditions he now treats every day.

Before joining NH Orthopedic Center, Dr. Dhayalan spent nearly three years at OrthoVirginia, where he built and ran a busy practice that included an office-based surgical suite and a strong focus on work-related injuries. He’s well-versed in the full scope of orthopedic hand care, including fractures, chronic degenerative conditions, or complex cases that have been through treatment elsewhere.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Dhayalan stays active in the research and academic side of medicine, with publications in national journals and presentations at major orthopedic meetings.
